"Starmer is abandoning young people and turning his back on important policies" .... "the present Labour party is not offering an alternative [to the Tories]" ... and other similar negative opinions about the leadership.
In fact there are more anti-Starmer comments than positive ones. So why does the headline not read "Starmer a turn-off for young Labour activists" or "Young Labour voters say Starmer is abandoning them".
Both these headlines would more accurately reflect the overall tenor of the interviews, but the editor has deliberately chosen to focus on a seemingly (and misleadingly) positive spin for Starmer and Labour.
You really couldn't find a more glaring example of how the corporate media, and the BBC in particular, always weights the story to show Corbyn in a bad light and swivels attention away from Starmer's lack-lustre and charisma-free persona.
