without Proportional Representation there's -by design- no real choice, no real democracy.
And most Labour supporters would vote against Proportional Representation again if another referendum were held on the issue.
And there's the ugly perennial hypocrisy of course: most Labourites claim to support the idea of a fair and representative democracy - but don't want pluralistic multi-party PR because they know that millions of voters would finally be able to break free from the Labour and Tory duopoly and vote - not just in pointless FPTP protest - for a Green or for another erstwhile suppressed and neutralised party's candidate.
With real PR every vote would finally count - so even I would vote again for the first time in over 30 years - and it definitely wouldn't be for a red, blue or yellow candidate.
