One figure that I do remember from the vid is that in East of Europe the population density was comparatively 150X that of American West, hence the meandering between concentration camps (Boer wars anyone?), outright slaughter and genocide on an industrial scale was 'needed' in the East for Lebensraum. The 'Manifest Destiny' project had an 'easier' job. From now on I shall think of both 'projects' in tandem. It would be good if I could check out some dates as a minimum, but doubt I can afford the book it was based on.
In addition, although I am aware that Namibia was another genocide by Germans (another experiment), it would have been useful to learn more about it, although the case of Congo by Belgians probably takes the biscuit to my mind.
I think it was too long (and the author is not exactly the most exciting fellow) which is his prerogative, I guess. Definitely puts the case across though. Ta.
