It has been brought to our attention that on January 6th one "Tomski" opined on this forum that the recently honoured statesman Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair KG was "creepy" and that he (Tomski) was "looking forward to his Hague prison haircut one sunny day."
That sentiment was, alas, not untypical. If one was to boil down all that spleen and rancour, it would result in the following statement: "If BLAIR [often spelled wrongly but pointedly as "BLIAR"] is an example of a knight, then there is something wrong with the knighthoods.”
We would like to point out that the rogue BLAIR is an aberration, an abomination, a boor, a cad, a fantasist, an irritant, a liar, a racist, a war criminal, and a witch-burner. An asshole, if one were to employ the vernacular. The rest of Great Britain’s, and indeed the Empire’s, knights, however, are gentlemen and ladies of the highest character.
So let’s condemn this fellow BLAIR by all means, but let us also praise good men and true, like the following exemplars of moral courage and intellectual excellence…..
