You're over-reacting Mark, and being disingenuous into the bargain. If you read the article the "Russian influence" referred to is the involvement of Infosys in various Russian enterprises and the subsequent (potential) influence on Sunak because his wife has a whopping share in the computer company, owned by her dad.

You are doing what you accuse others of -- using "Russia" as a shorthand to mean Russian state influence on western interests -- when the article plainly doesn't mean that; it's referring to companies and individuals (rich people and politicians) benefitting from doing business in Russia.
