Agree with all that; he is "real" and always has been. I've never seen other channels giving away money to people who are struggling as Lee did for a long time on his YouTube channel during the pandemic/shutdowns etc.

As I mentioned above, he gets way more attention from the censors and silencers than pretty much any other channel and it is because, as you say, he's doing stuff nobody else is. He doesn't pander to any audience sector, he doesn't try to put out content that will get more clicks, he just covers what he thinks needs to be covered and tries to get people to watch/listen.

The video of him explaining why he's leaving Patreon covers some of the recent Paypal purges too. Well worth a watch.
