I've just listened to a ludicrously biased "report" on the "lightning fast" decision by Finland and Sweden to join NATO. One of the people selected for her interviews was an elderly woman who had lived in Sweden for sixty years, after fleeing from East Germany in the 1950s; she was right behind Sweden ditching its two centuries of neutrality, because the Russians "could attack any of us at any time."

The "reporter" was a woman with a Home Counties accent, in best BBC tradition, like so many other BBC women accorded the most groveling respect by New Zealand media. At the end, Morning Report host Susie Ferguson identified her: "Nina Dos Santos, from CNN, with that report."
