True of Johnson, true of virtually every US president since the year dot and true of most European elites. Our economies and societies are in a mess facing almost unprecedented problems. Our 'leaders' are generally over-educated and under-skilled, can't think beyond the end of their noses, have little experience of anything useful and have never been troubled by an original thought. Is it any wonder that the prefer to see complex foreign affairs as children's fairy stories with goodies and baddies where they can root for the goodies?
