I agree that the worst aspect of the failure of the Corbyn project is the way young people, especially, have been let down and their futures have been severely compromised.
If Corbyn restored hope - if only for 3 or four years - Starmer's job is to destroy hope. In this he seems to be succeeding.
It's tragic.
But we have to be realistic.
The destruction of Corbyn is an object lesson to us all. It demonstrates the lengths the PTB are willing to go to and the depths they are willing to sink to.
It's not the particular politicians that are the problem or the parties, it's the whole political system that is totally unfit for purpose, totally unfit to deal with the existential crises (the SGC's as Rhis called them) we face.
The failure of Corbynism should have underlined this with the utmost clarity.
In the end hope is not enough and false hope deludes us. We have to face the reality of our situation - however terrifying.
I have no idea where we go from here.
