Always enjoy that from Cooper Clarke. I remember an intervew with a Brazilian rocker while I was living there. He was getting het up over all this good deed stuff Bono was doing, saying rockers were supposed to be against all that. Anyway he referred to Bono in Brazilian slang as " uma mala sem alça"

When you callsomebody uma mala, it means they're a suitcase - something really tedious to lug around but saying they're a mala sem alça means they're much worse - they're a suitcase without a handle which makes them a crashing bore to deal with.

But I wonder if Bongo's trousers ended up in the suitcase without a handle...
