I agree mostly, only I don't see why you all focus on what's wrong with what he writes, rather than what's right; his critique of the West's position? It's so negative and, to be honest tiresome. In order to gain access to the US mainstream he, clearly, employs the standard criticisms of Putin/Russia. That's expected and really doesn't mean very much. He doesn't want to alienate his readers, whilst at the same time pointing out the dangerous consequences of starting a war against Russia.
