Interesting, I have only been mildly aware of this matter from NZ I do check out Bella Caledonia sometimes I didn't know that an obvious issue, predatory men in women's spaces, prisons wherever, was discussed but actually vetoed. I am a Green party member in NZ and for the most part I'm proud of their philosophy, but there's no doubt in these more peripheral issues, a few very vocal and difficult people, men or women, can all too successfully hijack policy leaving far too many otherwise enthusiastic green members bewildered and betrayed. I imagine this must be happening in Germany with the Green leadership's militarism and Russophobia.

To be fair to Sturgeon the problem was not about female transmen in male prisons, and this question was being asked just to confuse the discussion. She was right to brush that aside. It does seem that she is at last seeing the difficulties of her legislation , she is a pretty canny political operator, and she will modify the law or instructions to the justice system to prevent the worst outcomes of the legislation. Whether that's enough to appease the critics i don't know.
