Why does Youtube's own and only lengthy link(see below)
fail to haul in the video's display-image ?

I could find no other link to it which didn't include the "?feature=share.." gubbins and the "/live"/ extension.

Then my trusty Newpipe video downloader app finally helped me out - it initially rejected Youtube's own URL as "unrecognised" - so I used Newpipe's own video search function + the video's title.

Bingo - the URL attached to Newpipe's successful search
is crucially different to the only link that Youtube serves up - a link that fails to haul in the video's display-image.
