What's happeining in Ukraine is really a civil war between the two largest ethnic groups, Ukrainians and Russians, and this conflict has escalated and 'drawn in' powerful outside forces, that back their side. It's difficult to imagine two peoples that are closer to each other than Russians and Ukrainians, and now they are kicking the shit out of each other, with the Ukrainian side under the control of ultra nattionalists determined to 'purify' Ukraine of everything alien and Russian.
