Perhaps he is just picking the low-laying fruit using the the rightwing scribblers. There is not much left (on the left) he could focus on. Easy-peasey. At times, he makes a convoluted point that may be difficult to discern. Imo, in essence, a very discerning scribbler : ). Some of his baggage may be that he was a diplomat.
