You mention in your piece, John, the looming problems Sturgeon (and her husband) face with the police due to various financial irregularities. In your opinion are these the primary cause of her making the seemingly abrupt decision to pack it all in? Yes, she might have been under political pressure (what politician isn't?) but it struck me right away upon hearing the announcement that there was something else behind it. Are Sturgeon and Morrell scared they've been caught with their hand in the till and know the game is up?
