Of course it was only his responsibility, the group of 'leftist', or old-fashioned social democrats, he gathered around him, weren't much better, or prepared for the monumental task that confronted them. Taking on a deeply divided and inept Tory Party was child's play compared to the 'real enemy' that threatened them most, the right wing Labour Party. One is always at a disadvantage when facing the Tories, that one is going to be stabbed in the back by one's own... 'comrades'.
But there's been close to no analysis or debate about what needed or needs to be done about any of that. John MacDonald is absolutely awful.
