What summed up Corbyn for me was the 2017 general election, from a position of strength after doing so much better than expected (Blairites had worked tirelessly for a Labour defeat) instead of using that moment to assert his authority he totally and utterly surrendered to the likes of Starmer. Perhaps Corbyn thought his 'niceness ' would win over the Blairites
