Yes, Magdalen was a brave person confronting absurdities, sticking up for anti-discrimination and defending gays and feminists - a liberals, liberal shall we say in its genuine meaning.

For this poster, I've actually stayed silent on the whole Gender/Trans stuff, too much of a hot potato and thought commonsense sooner or later would prevail, well, as events in Auckland prove, commonsense has not happened, actually matters are getting worse and a majority of folks are getting rather alarmed, i.e,. those who are actually behaving like fascists are accusing their detractors of being fascists.

Now, for the record, ones been alarmed at what has been happening in the Green Party here in the UK, both in Scotland and South of the Border for quite a while, having been a member of the Green Party, like Labour, its turned into a swamp preferring to embrace Gender/Queer Ideology rather than push the ecology message - funny that, much like the SNP.

The question for liberals and the Left is how do we respond, it ain't going away and to be honest it constitutes a danger to our sons and daughters.

First priority is to recognise that some people do have medical conditions that impact their specific gender and in a humane society these people need assisting - they did not choose to have a medical condition, so discrimination is a no, no.

Further, many, many folks have psychological issues over sex/gender, so severe that they self harm or commit suicide. Again, in a humane society all necessary help should be rendered, even, and in extreme cases, this may require surgical intervention. And this is all time consuming and bloody expensive, but should never be denied.

Then we have those who have no medical or psychological condition whatsoever. Well, if folks want to cross dress or engage in activities I myself don't engage in, its none of my business. However, I do draw the line when what seems to be happening is Cult behaviour, driven by crass ideas and pushed on to University campuses, not only that, this tiny, tiny group of individuals expects society to conform to their own narcissism and provide services that are denied to others - that ain't right, but its happening - see Scotland.

In a nutshell, sex/gender is not a fashion, its not something you can change day to day, except that's what's being pushed, i.e., its fluid, when in reality I'm afraid, based on the science, it ain't. Me, I stick to the science.
