Human behavior is... complex, as are what we believe to be true.

It seems like sociology and anthropology have been shoved aside, recently. Can anyone remember the last time they heard an anthropologist interviewed on the BBC or in the rest of the media?

We may not be able to change society or the world, but #### it, I can change my sex, which gives me and those observing my behavior the feeling and belief that fundamental change, is, after all, possible.

Most of our behavior isn't individual, but collective, as we are... a kind of advanced ape that needs company. Individualism is a liberal dogma without much to back it up.

How to achieve happyness? Well, I'm miserable in my current sex, perhaps things will be different if I change it?

But society and the people around us, have to aknowledge and sanction people 'changing sex', which is not what they are really doing. They are changing their appearance as a form of signaling or display. Liberals and the left, need desparately to feel they are 'progressive' and that they and society are 'moving forward'. They also enjoy feeling superior to other, more backward groups, individuals or even entire 'backward' countries. Like food display, sex display satisfies this desire and need in liberals.
