One wonders why, Corbyn and the team around him, given their insider knowledge about the true character of the modern Labour Party, didn't do everything in their power to undermine and split it, jettisoning the rightwing MPs, and forcing them to build a new party. This was such a golden opportunity, too good to allow it to slip through one's fingers.

Corbyn and his team were so tactically and strategically inept, that it beggars belief. He was and acted like what he was, a loyal member of the Labour Tribe, through and through, and this was a terrible weakness.
