He, basically, neutered the movement that lifted him way, way, above his pay grade. He liked bein a backbencher, not a leader in the glare of the media, viciously focusing on his weaknesses.
If only he'd supported the mandatoru re-selection fo MPs, just that one thing, whould have possibly made a real difference for the future and shifted the balance of power away from the PLP and the party machine, towards the rank and file membership. A party of the people, not the powerful.
But, it's all ####ing water under the bridge now. The ghastly 'grownups' have seized power once more, as usual, with a vengeance. Corbyn will never be allowed anywhere near power again. Not in our lifetimes. So sad, and what a wasted opportunity it was. If only he and the people around him weren't so ####ing hopeless.
