The BBC/Guardian repeatedly call China the world's second largest economy, but this is, arguably, misinformation designed to divert attention away from the truth of China's colossal manufacturing sector that dwarf's the United States and Europe, combined.
It's only 'true' that the US is still 'the world's largest economy' if one factors in the inflated value of the dollar, their ability to print dollars unrestricted by 'economic realities', their over-valued property market and last but not least the size of the Wall Street financial system.
But all of that is fragile a hell compared to China's production of real things in vast quatities, like steel, for example. The United States is an impressive and imposing building, built on a foundation of old, crumbling, brittle, concrete.
