Re: Seethe and Cope from the Observer on Ukraine
Imagine presenting Blinken as some kind of farsighted geopolitical sage (hinge? more like unhinge, amiright?), and I still don't understand why, if he thinks this war is 'about everyone', he remains in the UK instead of volunteering to join the front lines. A lie or distortion in practically every sentence, can't be bothered to go through knocking them down, but I'll just note the use of the phrase 'post-cold war order' - when it has really been a period of intense disorder as the thrashing US empire throws the last of its weight around - and Blinken's 'relative geopolitical stability' affirmed by this reeking mass of bullshit from Tisdall:
'Core principles enshrined in the UN charter – sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence – were threatened. Ukraine was this global struggle’s frontline.'
Is the usual neocon victim pose of pretending to be the 'adult in the room' when they have 'threatened' these stated principles over and over again in country after country. Like a mafia don getting all upset and on his high horse because a rival gangster had somebody killed.
Anyway, we all know this. I wonder if any graun readers are surprised to see this kind of thing in their precious crusading liberal rag? Probably they swallow it without question, bewitched by the word 'solidarity'.
