It's important for the 'left' to drop the pretense that there's ever going to be a 'two state solution', that mirage has vanished. If Israel has difficulty dealing with a place like Gaza, who seriously believes they would allow an independent and sovereign Palesinian state, with its own military, to exist?
It reality, today, there is only one state and that's Greater Israel. It exists and is ruled over by less than have the people, the Jewish minority within its de facto borders. The majority, the Palestinians, are second class inside this bigger Jewish state and will never be given full democratic or civil rights, as this would undermine Jewish supremacy and minority rule.
Why couldn't Corbyn say something like this on television, when he had the opportunity? Why didn't he take the interview by the scruff of the neck and shake it up? Bringing unpleasant and uncomfortable reality into the daylight?
