Guterres has the nerve to speak the truth, and Israel and the west seat with uproar and fury, egged on by the media. Is he brave, or has he finally developed a conscience about the UN's long inactivities in regard to Israel and indeed Ukraine?
It's just insane what's happening and the west's culpability in supporting this rogue and murderous state. If Ii were UK PM I'd be ordering the HMS Queen Elizabeth to create a no-fly zone over Gaza and shoot down any Israeli incursion.
Here's the UK's Minister for Immigration jumping in with his words of wisdom
We don’t agree with that. If he is referring to what has happened over the course of the last two weeks, we don’t believe Israel has broken international law. There is a clear right in international law for a nation to defend itself, and that is what Israel is doing.
We do want to see Israel, wherever practical – and it is immensely difficult to do – to surgically degrade and eradicate Hamas. That is what they are trying to do and we obviously hope they succeed because the world will be a better place … it will be a blessing if we can rid the world of Hamas.
When I speak English I try to speak sense, and at least speak kindness and charity. Our leaders are incapable of speaking any of this. There's a collective insanity at large, for which I invent this new psychiatric diangnosis a "folie a foule"(Madness of the Mob)
The west is isolating itself from the rest of the planet's citizenry. Its moral turpitude, its murderous inactivity, is not just unforgivable but is so dangerous, we have along with Israel constructed a silo which if we don't dismantle will ultimately lead us to an ever widening war in the ME with totally unpredictable consequences.
