which drew the comment referred to by t(with which I agreed)then perhaps I may return the compliment.
I follow AM,s programmes regularly as a valuable source of information which is generally well informed and provides some useful analysis of the
the situations in both Gaza and Ukraine.
Nontheless I am not a slavish adherent to his opinions nor his presentation as evidenced by the post mentioned above.I have noted that over time, as his references to Oct 7th and Hamas have lessened, he has made clear his own view as to how the initial reaction from all sides should have been conducted and his conviction that the same line should be pursued in order to obtain a realistic ceasefire.
I have to say that I do not share his faith in the efficacy of the UN General Assembly or the likelihood of any agreement within the Security Council to pressure Israel into a ceasefire or to compel a referral to the ICC.For over 50 years Israel has totally ignored every UN resolution and I have no doubt that it would continue to do so.
As far as the US administration is concerned I can foresee the usual response of paying lip service while continuing to act in total support of Israel. While he considers the prospect of any meaningful negotiation of the conflict in Ukraine to be totally unrealistic,I have to say I find his recipe for a resolution of the slaughter in Gaza
equally so.
That is not to say that the measures he proposes should not be pursued.Any means of pressuring US/Israel should be welcomed.
Sadly I think only political, economic and/or military action in support of Palestine will overcome the pathological aggression of Zionist zealotry.Meanwhile I,ll continue to follow AM.
BTW Ken,I have neither seen nor heard any latent anti Moslem prejudice among those like myself,(and yourself no doubt)who support Independence whist hostile to SNP.Perhaps I should pay more attention to Wings.
