Surely he can't be ignorant or unaware of what he's getting into when agreeing to be interviwed by Morgan? Why does he appear so unprepared? He, or his team, must know what kind of questions he's going to be asked? That he doesn't bat Morgan's questions out of the park and welcome more of them, is deeply disturbing. It shows a chronic lack of professionalism.
It's one thing to have the persona of a good-natured but bumbling professor in cosy leftwing circles, but when one steps into the media bearpit, full of snarling dogs red in tooth and claw, other qualities are essential.
