Anyone who's had any dealings with rape victims knows how hard it is for them to come forward. The sense of shame, of defilement, of being called a liar, the thought of having to publicly re-live the ordeal, it's too much for many women. How much more so must it be for women assaulted by Hamas on October 7th - religious sensibilities increasing the sense of defilement, the feeling they should be quiet because they were *only* raped whereas others died etc.
Being sceptical of war propaganda is a good thing but it should apply to all sides and what I see from many people on this board is that Israel lies all the time whereas Hamas's claims are 100% accurate and to be treated as absolute truth, never doubted and never critically questioned.
The Hamas-fan boys and girls here should realise it's not a progressive force but a ruthless group seeking to enforce a particularly repressive ideology.
