There were three journalists there. I was praying that no one mentioned Gaza or Ukraine. I think a lot about how my grandmother was murdered and dumped in ditch by the fuckers who we now hail as heroes! As I have little baby of eight weeks to care for, I wonder about those poor little things in Gaza, being born into Hell on Earth and killed before they can even focus their eyes on the world around them.
It's like there's a hole in the heart of the West. A black hole that doesn't just suck in the available light, but the Truth as well.
Someone started talking about 'democracy' and I burst out that I thought it had passed it's sellby date years ago. We now live under a fascist regime that participates in genocide. Per definition, we can't live in a democracy, can we?
However, because I'm getting on a bit, I've now seemingly graduated to the 'crazy old uncle' stage of life, who was born in another age and can be patronised and ignored by the young people. Such is life I suppose. It must have been similar to those who took part in the French Revolution when they got old and didn't fit in the New Order.
