It's when you read ghastly plans like this, when you see all the adverts for travel to exotic locations, or even "mundane" locations such as Greece or Teneriffe that you know that COP 28, all that hot air, all those air miles, all those hotel rooms mean nothing, nothing at all. So Tahitians once voted in a government that promised some strategic environmental thinking, but all that needs to happen is elect some other government and you're back to square one. Same here in NZ.
We, at least the wealthier part of humanity, are main-lining diversion, main-lining consumption, main-lining thoughtlessness, main-lining greed. and there is no hope for us.
