This suggests a massive lack of confidence in the story and pretty much an admission that it's bullshit but they don't want to be caught out either way; giving it undue prominence but not refusing to publish it.
On Twitter the usual suspects (that utter waste of skin Andy Ngo, Cee Bee Gee Bees, Telegraph, etc.) are spewing this out as much as possible as if it's all totally confirmed already.
It's possible that there was some group that planned the attacks but the idea that they were Hamas is ridiculous even if they would have sympathies with them and their ideals.
It will be interesting to see whether they amplify or hide the story in the next few days.
