Perhaps his analysis is correct, that Ukraine should follow the German example? But weren't they fighting a two front war against the British and the Americans as well? And, if my memory serves me well, despite their extraordinary efforts outlined by Hodge, didn't they eventually lose the war? And wasn't that outcome virtually a certainty once they failed to take Moscow and Leningrad and began the long, slow, retreat from Russia, that they'd lose the war; and this was beyond any doubt after the D-Day landings?
