This is, I think, one of the most open massacres of helpless and defencesless civilians by a brutal ruthless military machine since WW2, but you won't see that fact, that bitter truth, mentioned anywhere in the western media. Or calls for a no-fly zone over Gaza. Or, something must be done.
Another thing is that the BBC/Guardian, as an exmple, refer to the number of killed, but not the number of missing presumed dead, which is climbing steadily towards 10.000. The other ghastly statistic is the number of wounded, which according to Chris Hedges is over 50,000. What a terrible figure. I don't think I've ever heard the BBC/Guardian mention it.
I think next time they have a demonstration in London, they should concentrate the march at the BBC and Guardian for a change and call them out for their incredible bias, complicity in warcrimes and protection of the genocidal state of Israel. Focus on why, in a nominal democracy, so much of the horror of Gaza is swept under the carpet by our media. How can one say that we live in a democracy, if the truth of a genocide can be swept under the carpet, like it isn't really happening, when it's happening.
