Re: BBC (ish) gatekeeping for Israel #2
Well, I'll have to look up one of the local Jews in my area, before I moved from Wellington a Jewish couple lived next door. When I'm back in Wellington I might pop in an ask them. They should know. But I am going to stick to my guns, to suggest being Jewish is merely an exercise in superstition is to slur a large number of good people who claim Jewishness in their own way of thinking. An Englishman may be a Christian and believe in superstition, but he remains an Englishman if he is an theist and rationality rules his every thought and action. I am unsure and disappointed as to why you think any Jewish person must be less able to abjure superstition than my enlightened Englishman.
