Have to admit I was somewhat taken aback that the BBC would include such "unauthorised" and "unverified" testimony - in all its shocking raw detail too - from a citizen to be aired (she said they were withholding his name to protect his dentist) and then go the extra mile by affirming its authenticity. I can't recall any BBC report on Gaza that was so direct and unflinching and not peppered with caveats and "Isreal denies this" so-called "balance". Perhaps these came afterwards, because I didn't watch the whole bulletin.
Was this a sign that the BBC has found a backbone, is changing its stance and reporting more truthfully or am I being hopelessly naive and hoodwinked? I don't know to be honest.
