Whatever you think of Craig, and there are times I find him a bit overwrought, eg Skripals, Scottish independence, and I suspect he can be pretty Bolshie at times (I don't mind that, but he probably puts others' backs up) he has a true heart and a determination to yield to it by putting himself at considerable inconvenience, eg camping in the freezing night or queuing hours for Julian Assange's trial. He also writes very well - he tells a good story. But like Pilger and all the other inconvenient spanners in the workings of the state, he's not just safely sidelined in the media h'll be actively harassed and pursued by the powers that be. I don't know about his voluntary exile from the UK as to how necessary that is but it is an extremely worrying sign of the increasing control and censorship that the state is bringing to bear on dissent. There will be players in the system whose policy is to deliberately provoke unrest in the country so this control can be further tightened. Rupert Murdoch and his team will be important players in this. .
