KATHRYN RYAN: It's time for our film review by Perlina Lau. And I believe you have a real stunner for us this morning?
PERLINA LAU: Yes Kathryn, the film is One Life, the title comes from the Jewish saying that if you can save just one life you save the world. It's about the British humanitarian Sir Nicholas Winton, who saved the lives of six thousand Jewish children...
Now, if ever there was a case for a film's relevance to be mentioned, surely this was it. But Perlina Lau continued to talk only about the movie, and about Sir Nicholas Winton's appearance on This Is Your Life in 1982. Neither she, nor Kathryn Ryan, even mentioned the obvious parallel to be drawn with current events.
Nobody would expect anything better from Ryan [1], but Perlina Lau is equally disappointing. She does not seem to have improved one iota since she worked as a flunky for New Zealand's nastiest right wing commentator...
