Hilarious "expert" on news last night
Switching through news channels (Sky, GBNews, Talk TV) late last night, after a tincture or three, some woman pundit (don't know who) was giving her "expert" opinion on the TC interview. It was hilarious. I think she commented on Putin's stature in the sense that small men like to compensate by being arrogant and throwing their weight around. Putin didn't just walk, apparently, he "strutted" I think was the term she used. As far as I can recall she made no comment on the content of what he said, but everything was heavily loaded in order to show him in the worst possible light. But when pressed she had to concede that most people in Russia liked him and supported his actions in Ukraine, though of course being "a dictator" he didn't need to bother about elections, unlike politicians in the democratic west. To call it "blatant" bias and propaganda doesn't do it justice, but it really was hilarious as an example of The 5-Minute Hate disguised as a journalist's expert opinion. Sorry to be so vague but I was half-pissed at the time.
