I got a statement of my NI contributions a few years ago because you used to need 30 years but it seems that even with some chicanery about NI contributions when I was on the rock I still qualified. Lucky I had the bridge job and could have afforded to pay for more had I needed them. Shame about the £110, with my 20 hours a week, I take home £223 which is a bit frugal. I don't earn enough for tax or insurance. I hope I'm not in for a shock when the new tax year begins....
