The Skripals were publicly lied about, used as a geopolitical tool against Russia, then disappeared for years into a gulag somewhere. Now one may have died or been killed in captivity. And it was probably MI6 goons who staged the bungled 'assassination' attempt in the first place. And everybody has completely forgotten about them. Just think what an incredible investigative TV documentary this would make - but it would never get broadcast in the UK, and media professionals know it will be their heads if they even bring up the subject as worthy of attention.

Like the Assange case or Israel/Palestine, it's a thread that if you pull on it even slightly it unravels the whole facade and self-justifying bullshit this toxic society tells about itself, revealing the naked might-makes-right authoritarianism lying beneath.
