Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer described the air strike as "outrageous and unacceptable", and called for humanitarian workers to be protected and international law to be upheld.

So, “our” six dead aid workers cause an outcry, but our leadership remains acquiescent to the biblical vengeance inflicted on Gaza’s Palestinians. This is a staggering hypocrisy, a monstrous failure of our common humanity. Hypocrisy is the deadly fuel for Gaza and its people’s destruction. If hypocrisy had weight even now the Palace of Westminster would be slipping below the waters of the Thames and the White House submerged in the Potomac River. Oh that such would come to pass.
