QT last night from Stoke-on-Trent had the CEO of a gym chain on called Humphrey Cobbold. When Gaza came up he defended the mass murder of civilians by Israel by banging on about October 7 and then, looking round the hall they were in, said (I paraphrase) Never forget, four times the number of people in this room were slaughtered by Hamas and twice the number were taken hostage.

There was a woman on the panel who had previously spoken up for the Palestinians and I was begging her to say "And how many rooms with this number of people would it take to represent the Palestinians murdered by Israel, nearly half of them children?" Unfortunately she didn't.

Lisa Nandy was on the panel. In supporting Starmer in welcoming Elphick to the party she said that Labour under Corbyn had been rife with antisemitism and that Starmer had cleaned it up (again I paraphrase).

What a fucking piece of work she is.
