Fwiw I was also looking at Jose Borrell's bio to see at any connection to Israel, this came up in his wiki:

In the summer of 1969 Borrell worked as volunteer at the Gal On kibbutz in Israel, where he met his future French wife Caroline Mayeur,[5][12]

He more or less replicates Ursula's statements on Israel post 7th Oct. Pity GIPRI didn't see him as fit for the dock : /
