Indeed! And if it had been an official target nation -- Iran, say, or Russia -- holding Assange all those years after he'd bubbled them for their war crimes, Empire media would have been giving us a literal, Terry Waite-style daily update and ongoing day-count of his incarceration...

I know people attack me for saying this, but at the present stage of the game, you really cannot hate our media too much...
