Bio: Joan Pedro-Carañana is in the Department of Journalism and New Media of the Complutense University of Madrid. He has a European doctorate in Communication, Social Change and Development. His research interests lie in understanding the roles and intersections of communication, education, and culture both in the (re)production of hegemony and in emancipatory social change.
