Suspend Arms to Israel: Back Z Sultana's Amendment

As a resident in XXXXXX constituency, I'm writing to ask you to please back Zarah Sultana's amendment to the king's speech calling for a suspension of arms sales to Israel.

Non-mainstream daily reports from Gaza show us that UK and US weapons continue to be used by Israel to murder and maim children, women and men in huge numbers with no controls, while starvation and disease inevitably spread fast amid 2 million besieged displaced people living in rubble and sewage. Face if you can the regularly updated painful images on http://www.instagram.com/eye.on.palestine that make a mockery of the 'balance' and 'accuracy' of our 'news'.

Recent whistleblowing admissions by Israeli soldiers themselves also confirm long-repeated accusations: “It’s permissible to shoot everyone, a young girl, an old woman.”

I am disgusted and ashamed by (human rights lawyer, really?) Starmer's attempts to protect Netanyahu by not dropping a UK government challenge to the ICC arrest warrant against him for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Stronger action is needed to stop this so far Western-condoned barbarism, which those in power in Israel want to widen - to Lebanon, to Yemen ... - not reduce or stop.

An arms suspension is absolutely vital in order to encourage a resolution.

Please add your name to Zara Sultana's tabling of this amendment to the king's speech by Tuesday afternoon, and please call on fellow XXX party members and MP colleagues across the house to find a backbone and do the same.
