A neighbour of mine regularly rants about the levels of immigration in Ireland. She has bought the line that it's a globalist conspiracy to replace native Irish people for some nefarious reason. I told her that the gene pool needs improving anyway...it might raise the IQ levels to a significant extent that people don't fall for such divisive top-down encouraged nonsense. She doesn't grasp the obvious fact that our native language and culture has been decimated to such a level that a small but increasingly loud minority are aping the worst reactionary elements of our colonial neighbour, believing that waving a flag and xenophobia constitutes a culture. The road to fascism is paved with such ignorance.
