Yeah, he's basing it on some leaked recording of Trump complaining that he was able to get Hamas to the table for peace talks but Netanyahu wasn't interested, and the perception that Trump likes to cut a deal. Maybe he does, but it would be a 180 degree turn not only on all his recent rhetoric (which Dore has even covered) but also on his past behaviour when in power totally supporting Israel, moving the embassy, assassinating of Soleimani on their behalf etc. At least with Ukraine he's made public statements against the war, so that might not escalate to the same degree with him in power. I could see the situation for Palestinians getting worse rather than better though...
