The lunatic state with nuclear weapons is one of the great bogeymen of western interventionist policy and yet here you have a totally deranged, religious lunatic state with the most fanatical faction at the very top, already engaged in genocide but also trying to start a wider war that they almost certainly won't win without dragging the USA into it, and clearly desperate and wreckless enough to start throwing nuclear weapons around, and who actually have a "last stand" policy of taking everyone with them (Samson option) and yet crickets in the msm.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s with a nuclear war feeling like an even money proposition feels like the good old days compared to this lunacy.
